格力太陽能空調週基於PV（光電）發電原理，將太陽能轉化為電能，從而減少市電的消耗。 每塊太陽能板每小時在光照充足時可以產生200Ｗ的電能（基於型號PVM200/33.4M），每台 空調最多可使用5塊太陽能板，每小時最大發電功率可達到1000W，如果持續使用10年， 可以減少257.5Kg的碳排放，相當於種植947棵松樹。
Based on PV (Photovoltaic) generating technology, Gree Solar Power linverter Air Con (GSPI) converts solar power into electric power to reduce commercial power consumption. Every solar panel could generate 200W electric power per hour (Model PVM200/33.4M), soothe maximum power supply of one GSPI could reach 1000W per hour with 5 solar panels working together. As a result, 257kg carbon dioxide emission would be saved for consecutive 10 years,equal to the effect of planting 947 pine trees.
